La Petite Halle.

This building is located on the Bouchayer-Viallet site and is called La Petite Halle.
This industrial area of Grenoble was created at the end of the XIXth century, when the firm Bouchayer & Viallet bought a large parcel of land to build its industrial plants there.

This place has then been abandonned but is now beeing rebuilt and restored.
On the photo I showed you yesterday, you could see the original entrance of the site that has been kept as it initialy was. Behind that, you could see the builiding now know as Le Magasin (you can check my previous posts about is there and there), which has been turned into a comtemporary art centre.

Today the building I am presenting you is called La Petite Halle. It has been entirely restored by a firm I'm working with. At the end of the month, different firms will have their offices here.

Looks really nice! A good way to proceed instead of just pulling down! We cannot keep all old buildings, but many definitely desserve to be kept and restored! This seems to be good example!
